Queen Sarah Crowley
Lewis & Clark
Queen Sarah Crowley, a senior at Lewis and Clark High School, is captain of the LC debate team, senior class vice president, an intern at Daybreak Youth Services, a member of the Student Leadership board at LC, a Girls State delegate, a Student Leader at First Presbyterian Church, and a Spokane Youth Leadership board member and a WASC participant. Sarah has built houses in Tijuana, Mexico for the past three spring vacations, and been a vacation bible school teacher in Westport, Washington for two years. She has volunteered for Operation Christmas Child, Camp Reed, Youth Diversity Summits, and the Nordstrom’s Fashion Board. She plans to attend Gonzaga University to study Political Science and Psychology, with the intent of becoming a human rights attorney.

Princess Alexandra Cozza
North Central
Alexandra Cozza, a senior at North Central High School with a 4.0 GPA, has been accepted to Gonzaga University where she received a Dussault Scholarship and will study criminal justice. Alex, a former varsity cheerleader, voted “most likely to get a speeding ticket on the way to graduation” by her senior class, is a member of the North Central chapter of the National Honor Society, class senator, varsity baseball manager, New Connections mentor, a member of the Greater Spokane Association of Student Councils, and member of the yearbook staff. Her favorite activity in high school is leadership. Alexandra is an avid Red Sox and GU basketball fan. Her favorite food is the teriyaki chicken rice bowl from Aloha Grill and her favorite drink is Monster Energy. She loves Spokane, and always looks forward to the Lilac Parade and Hoopfest weekend. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. |
Princess Kylee Denevan
Shadle Park
Princess Kylee attends Shadle Park High School, maintains a 4.0 gpa, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Her activities include cheerleading captain, ASB representative, Northwest Sarcoma Foundation volunteer, City Gate volunteer, Young Life, Camp Spalding counselor, Nordstrom Fashion Board, Link Crew leader, Youth Leadership Spokane graduate, and Adopt-a-family. Kylee plans to attend the University of Washington to study pre-med in hopes of becoming an Anesthesiologist or Pharmacist.

Princess Marilis Earle
Central Valley
Marilis Earle is a senior from Central Valley High School. She attends full time running-start at Spokane Community College and on her free time she enjoys playing sports and being active. In the summer she enjoys spending time at her family’s cabin in Priest Lake. Marilis enjoys baking; she is a big fan of food and loves to bake different kinds of cookies, adding various ingredients to make them healthy. In the winter Marilis’ enjoys snowboarding with her dad at local ski resorts. She is the youngest of three girls and says her sisters are two of her best friends. Marilis is also very close to her mother who Marilis says is her biggest role model.

Princess Alyssa Robinson
Freeman
Princess Alyssa attends Freeman High school where she maintains a 3.88 grade
point average. Alyssa's activities have included National Honors Society,
varsity track, LDS young women's secretary, and she attends Running Start at
Spokane Community College where she will graduate with her Associates Degree
in the spring. She is the Candlelighters cancer organization's holiday gift
bag coordinator, has done clothing drives and made blankets for Crosswalk
and Valley Center, and has volunteered at activities involved with the
Candlelighers organization. She is employed at the YMCA as a lifeguard and
swim instructor. Alyssa enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, and camping with
her family. She plans to attend BYU and pursue a major in dentistry.

Princess Jeannette Thompson
West Valley
Princess Jeannette attends West Valley High School. She maintains a 3.43 grade point average and is a member of the National Honors Society. Her activities have included West Valley Drama Club, Leadership, tennis and her church youth group. Jeannette is the Senior Class Secretary, Link Crew Co President, and Vice President of the Greater Spokane Association of Student Councils. Her volunteer opportunities have included coordinating West Valley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Assembly, River clean-up, and LDS Food Bank. She placed 3rd in state with DECA, and received a Young Women Recognition Award. Jeannette plans to attend one of the Brigham Young Universities.

Princess Kaylee Van Gelder
University
Princess Kaylee attends University High School, where she maintains a 3.75 grade point average and is a member of National Honor Society and Who’s Who. Her activities have included ballet, tap, hip hop, drama, WDFY, youth group, manager of the varsity football team, speech meet, class President, and Crimson Crew. She has had the pleasure of volunteering for MOPS, the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, the Cathy McMorris campaign, the House of Charity, America’s Kids Run, and the Washington Healthy Youth Partnership. Kaylee has received the honor of being the Top American Literature Student, and also receiving the Academic Achievement in Russian and Bible. She has been a tutor for Math and English and is also a published poet. Kaylee has traveled to Russia twice on mi ssion’s trips and also lived overseas in England and Africa for 11 years. She will be attending Seattle Pacific University majoring in Communications/Broadcasting. |
