Our 72nd Anniversary "Freedom is Not Free" celebration of the Spokane Lilac Festival will be on May 15th, 2010, 7:45 p.m. We look forward to seeking you at the parade!

2009 Parade Royalty

Parade Applications

Please review the following description to determine the appropriate Parade application for your unit. Complete the application (type or print legibly) and send the entire package including the Application, Rules and Regulations, Proof of Insurance, and *Brief (10 to 20 second) *Narration to be read by media during the parade (Antique cars also provide photo of the car) to:

APPLICATION TYPES
CATEGORY DESCRIPTION
Antique Car A stand-alone vintage car, not transporting VIPs or Dignitaries.
Band/Drill Marching Units with or without musical instruments.
Commercial For profit entries paying the $1,250 entry fee.
Equestrian All mounted riders, Rodeo Royalty and horse drawn carriages.
Float Must be self propelled and meet float dimensions. All visiting non-equestrian Royalty must be on a float.
Military All units involving the Armed Forces.
Specialty Units that are not covered by other categories, not a band, float, military, etc.
VIP Dignitary Invited honored guests of the parade, e.g. Mayor.
VIP Dignitary Vehicle Cars only, driving the dignitaries through the parade. Convertibles are especially needed. May be used for more than one pass through the Parade.

2009 Parade - Armed Forces Float

Bleacher Seating

Bleacher seating will be available on Washington Street, between Spokane Falls Blvd. and Main. Tickets are $15.00 each. For bleacher seating, please call the Lilac Festival Office at (509)535-4554. Tickets will also be available on Parade Day, beginning at 4:00pm at our Marketing Trailer on Washington.
